Ok, so I got interested in getting an Amateur radio license and checked a few on-line sites to see what was involved. As it turned out my interest aligned with the FCC removing the requirement for morse code and the test now just involved some reasonably simple regulation and electronics questions. My 9yr old son & I went to a local VEC test center and both passed.

A month later my wife & 7yr old son went and passed as well. So, now we're a family of 4 Hams.
